Welcome to GNGO, the yearly golf outing that trades city life for the wilds of Northern Michigan! Can you believe it's our 21st year? We're ready to swing into another round of laughter, questionable shots, and maybe a few epic ball hunts in the bushes. Dust off those clubs, throw on your most ridiculous golf getup, and join us for a day packed with fun, friendship, and plenty of “Did you see that?” moments—because remember, what happens on the course, stays on the course (unless it's really funny, then’ll definitely share it)!
ABOUT GNGO...
It all began with a simple quest: a few brave souls in search of cold drinks, warm laughs, and a patch of green to occasionally swing at a ball — somewhere deep in the majestic woods of Northern Michigan. That noble mission led them to Lakewood Shores, and thus, the GNGO was born.
What started as a spirited weekend escape has evolved into the crown jewel of summer for Metro Detroit’s finest — an event so beloved, it makes Christmas feel like a Tuesday.
Over the years, this sacred pilgrimage has grown (and sobered up, only slightly), with legendary stops at Boyne Highlands, Bay Harbor, and other hallowed fairways.
Today, GNGO is more than just golf. It’s an exclusive, invite-only celebration of brotherhood, banter, beverages, and balls (the dimpled kind). Casual on the course, but serious about the good times, we pride ourselves on fostering tradition, laughter, and the finest questionable decision-making Northern Michigan has to offer.
